Are Emergency Roadside Assistance companies keeping their promise?


When pizzas were first launched and promised on delivery as a commercial food outlet, the pizza manufacturing companies challenged the consumers for a time of delivery. That is – If the pizza does not reach you in 20 minutes, then the pizza is on the pizza company.

Similarly, these days the emergency roadside assistance market is growing and maturing to next level. The unique selling proposition has become the time bracket and most of us are challenging on the time to the consumers. I can do the emergency roadside assistance in 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes or reach out to you in 1 hour.

Is it possible? Yes, it is possible! Are they doing it today? Yes and No. Very few are keeping their promises and many they don’t.

At last, the consumers will feel that it is enough if they get the problem solved and it does not matter if they come late or so. As soon as something wrong happens in the road with the vehicle, the consumer is fed up to an extent that it is ok to wait even if it takes 1 hour or 2 hours. They don’t really complain.

Showing up of the mechanic is more important and solving the problem is most important, even if they attend the problem in 1 hour.

I hope the market matures and the competitive emergency roadside assistance does its best to the consumers and keep up the promises of 15 minutes problem solving or atleast attending or reaching out to the victim. At last the consumers should be benefitted.
